About the Role:

The Food Service Worker/Cashier plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced food service environment. This position is responsible for efficiently handling customer transactions, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role requires attentiveness to customer needs, accuracy in cash handling, and adherence to food safety standards to ensure a positive dining experience. The Food Service Worker/Cashier collaborates with team members to support smooth daily operations and contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Ultimately, this position is essential in upholding the establishment’s reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or cashier roles.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Customer service training or certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide correct change.
  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including dining and kitchen spaces.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management as needed.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries and resolve any issues.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
