We are seeking an experienced Plant Foreman for Schreiter Concrete Company's Redi Rock Block division in O'Fallon MO. $60,000 - $80,000 per year to start, based on experience Job Description: Since 1997 Schreiter Concrete Co's Redi~Rock division has grown from a small operation to one of the largest in the country from our two current facilities. We manufacture and deliver Redi~Rock decorative blocks to meet the growing demand for shoreline, infrastructure, remodeling, multifamily housing, large & small scale commercial construction, and a multitude of other uses. We rely on our team of talented and hardworking people to provide reliable products and unmatched service. We are seeking a Plant Foreman for our O'Fallon, Missouri, Redi Rock block operation. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and on Saturday, as required. Job Duties: Manage, train, and assist production team. Supervise all production activities – concrete pours, finishing, stripping, and staging of precast blocks. Monitor material usage and communicate supply needs. Conduct visual product quality inspections – take a proactive role in identifying and addressing issues before they reach QC. Operate skid steer loader to load and unload blocks. Ensure product quality, expectations and goals are met. Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are performed. Ensure safe work environment – immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries. Assist as needed with performing general manual labor tasks including cleaning, shoveling, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Other tasks as needed. Work Environment: Work environment can be extremely hot or cold at times, so the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes. Work near moving machinery and equipment Work in a noisy environment Physical Requirements: This is a physically demanding position The employee will be handling materials daily, which require the ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle, and transport finished goods. This position requires full range of body motion on a daily basis including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles. Carrying/Lifting >50 pounds regularly Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder Experience & Qualifications: 2+ years of related pre-cast experience is desired. Strong knowledge of concrete production, form setup, finishing and curing processes. Exercise good judgment regarding work site unloading and operation. Ability to perform well as a team. Experience on skid steers and forklifts desired. Self-motivated and must be flexible in order to accommodate needs of your team. Safety minded when performing tasks. Effective communicator and team motivator. Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
