Journeyman Electrician Mission Critical, Industrial & Commercial Projects

DFW Metroplex | $32$45/hr | Full-Time

ACME Electric Company is expanding and building specialized teams of Journeyman Electricians to support a wide range of projects, including:

  • Mission Critical / Data Center Projects
  • Industrial Water Treatment Plants
  • Commercial Construction
  • Service & Maintenance Work

What Youll Do

As a Journeyman Electrician with ACME Electric Company, youll be trusted with the electrical infrastructure that keeps facilities and data centers running efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, laying out, installing, testing, and repairing wiring, fixtures, motors, equipment, and control systems.
  • Building and maintaining electrical systems for data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings.
  • Delivering quality results while following all codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

Essential Functions

  • Use hand and power tools (pipe threaders, conduit benders, drills, etc.) to install conduit, cable, and duct banks.
  • Make electrical terminations, splices, and connections; install fixtures, motors, panels, relays, and grounding systems.
  • Work with high- and low-voltage systems common in data centers and industrial settings.
  • Test continuity and safety using ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and related instruments.
  • Participate actively in all safety programs zero injuries is the goal.
  • Report hazards, use stop-work authority when needed, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Interpret complex electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications (including one-line diagrams, cable schedules, and P&IDs).
  • Mentor and train apprentices and helpers.
  • Produce high-quality work that meets project and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program with 8,000+ hours of work experience
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, math, and communication skills
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to pass background check, drug screen, and MVR (as required by law)

Physical & Work Environment

  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; climb, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
  • Work safely on ladders, scaffolds, and steel frameworks
  • Handle full-day shifts (up to 12 hours) in hot, cold, or inclement weather
  • Adapt to loud, bright, or tight working conditions typical of construction sites
  • Work around sensitive, high-value equipment in data center environments
  • Safety-sensitive position: stay alert and focused at all times
