Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant – Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery at DropUp®
Job Description
Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant – Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery | Dallas, TX
About the Practice
A state-of-the-art cosmetic and plastic surgery center located across from NorthPark and affiliated with EpiCentre is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant (MA) to join their team.
This is not your typical front desk role — it’s an opportunity to be both the welcoming face and clinical support for a luxury aesthetic practice that blends high-end service with world-class medicine. You’ll be at the center of patient care and operations, ensuring every interaction — from check-in to post-op — reflects warmth, professionalism, and excellence.
About the Role
As the Front Desk Coordinator / MA, you’ll play a key dual role supporting both the front office and the clinical team. You’ll manage patient flow, scheduling, and communications while also assisting the surgeon and RN with hands-on patient care and post-procedure follow-up.
This position is perfect for an MA who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to be part of a close-knit, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office Coordination
- Greet all patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm — you set the tone for their entire experience.
- Manage front desk operations and coordinate the daily flow of the clinic.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate surgical and non-surgical appointments.
- Follow up on consultations, leads, and inquiries — assisting in patient communications and ensuring timely, professional responses.
- Handle phones, emails, and patient intake/check-out processes with accuracy and grace.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, and patient communication.
- Support overall office efficiency and uphold the polished, calm environment patients expect.
Clinical (MA) Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care as delegated by the MD and RN.
- Set up and assist during procedures — ensuring proper instrument management, sterilization, and readiness of treatment rooms.
- Provide postoperative care, including suture removal, drain removal, and wound assessments.
- Take and record vitals, medical histories, and notes during consultations and follow-ups.
- Assist with patient communications — responding to pre- and post-op questions, educating patients on care instructions, and reinforcing treatment plans.
- Maintain and track clinical inventory, instruments, and skincare products.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification – required
- Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or medical aesthetics highly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills — bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, composed, and patient-centered demeanor
- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-touch environment with a luxury client base
Why You’ll Love It
- Be part of a world-class cosmetic and surgical team in a beautiful, high-end environment
- Monday–Friday schedule — no nights or weekends
- Work closely with a talented surgeon and experienced RN team
- Competitive hourly pay + performance-based incentives
- Opportunity to grow your career in luxury aesthetics while expanding your clinical skills
