We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring exceptional service from check-in to check-out while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor and manage check-in/check-out processes
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner
- Process reservations, cancellations, and room assignments using hotel management software
- Manage guest accounts, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Answer multi-line phone system and take accurate messages
- Maintain lobby and front desk area cleanliness and organization
- Assist with administrative tasks and prepare daily reports as needed
Experience & Education
- 1+ year of customer service experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Fully fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Spanish fluency is a plus
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn hotel management systems
- Cash handling experience and basic math skills
- Proficiency with multi-line phone systems
- Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Ability to remain calm and courteous when dealing with difficult situations
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Manual dexterity for computer work and handling paperwork
- Flexible availability required, including weekdays and weekends
- Willingness to work various shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, overnight)
- Availability for holidays and peak season periods
- Must be dependable with consistent attendance
- Competitive starting wage of $14.00/hour
