The Front Desk/ Housekeeping Support Person is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to guests while managing front desk operations. This role involves handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries, while ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient motel experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer phone calls, take messages, make reservations, and direct inquiries appropriately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
Process new reservations and perform light administrative tasks, such as counting inventory.
Assist with daily operational tasks (e.g., folding leftover laundry, cleaning the gym, and other CQ1 property common areas).
Stay up to date on motel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide guests with accurate and helpful recommendations.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are guest-ready and resolve any issues that arise during a guest's stay.
Address guest concerns or complaints with patience and professionalism, seeking timely solutions.
Follow safety protocols to ensure guest security and comfort, including monitoring entry and exit to the premises.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or certifications are a plus.
Experience: Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with computer systems, including motel management software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist guests and coworkers.
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., supplies, carts).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
