Action is seeking a Front Desk Lead to join our team at Parkloft property in San Diego.
Compensation: $21 to $23 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 7:00AM-3:00PM
Summary: Under the direction of the General Manager, the Front Desk Lead is the first point of contact for people entering the lobby or calling the association. As such, the Front Desk Lead must at all times display a professional appearance and speak in a polite manner and clear tone, including answering telephones or addressing people who have approached the Front Desk. The Front Desk Lead is expected to possess a working knowledge of the Association's rules, policies and procedures, as well as familiarity with the Association's amenities and surroundings in order to assist residents and their guests. In addition to the duties listed above, the Front Desk Lead is also the first point of contact for the other Front Desk staff, whether working for Action or Securitas. The Front Desk Lead is responsible for reviewing and updating post orders, leaving pass downs, and working with the General Manager to solve issues relating to the Front Desk and improving the service that we provide to our clients.
What You'll Do (Job Duties)- Represent Action Property Management and the association by greeting residents and guests at the Front Desk in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Possess working knowledge of Association policies and procedures, including familiarity with amenities and surroundings.
- Assist General Manager with supervision of Front Desk staff and provide administrative support, including daily reports and resident correspondences.
- Provide basic concierge services such as restaurant/entertainment recommendations, taxi/shuttle arrangements, etc., and assist with resident relations including maintenance requests, questions, and concerns.
- Monitor lobby activity, check in and announce guests and vendors, perform routine inspections of the building's common areas, document unusual activity, manage and maintain front desk area, lobby, and main elevators, receive and distribute resident mail and packages, and understand and implement emergency procedures when necessary.
- Must be over 18 years of age and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in property management or hotels. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Hospitality, luxury retail, or fine dining experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficient with MS Office application and property management software and systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Hospitality Management college students or recent graduates are highly desired. Polished and professional appearance and demeanor
