The Dog Stop® is looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Receptionist with retail and customer service experience. Must have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an unparalleled experience for customers, and, of course, a love of dogs. This is a fast-paced environment requiring an organized individual with the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of the dog care industry is a plus but not required provided the candidate is capable of quickly learning the ins and outs of our services and our complete product line.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers and their pets
- Checking dogs in and out of daycare, boarding and grooming
- Taking dogs back to the playrooms upon arrival and getting them out of play at pickup
- Setting up boarding kennels as needed
- Answering customer questions about our products and services
- Taking appointments and answering the phone
- Retail Sales/Inventory Tracking
- Developing Customer Relationships
- Management of Client Database
- Social Media Content Creation and Management
- Client Tours
- Position requires extensive multi-tasking and lots of walking
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in retail and customer service
- 3 professional references
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
