The Server is a valuable member of Gracie’s service team, acting as the primary representative of Gracie’s during the guest experience. This person provides a memorable dining experience at Gracie’s, as well as supporting the team. The ideal candidate enjoys creating a sincere guest connection, has a passion for food and beverage, and can execute our SOP specification and uphold Gracie’s high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest
-Greet guests, explain menu options, and answer questions related to the beverage and culinary offerings
-Take food and drink orders from customers accurately
-Entering order information into the POS computer system
-Delivering and clearing dishes to the guest
-Ensure guest satisfaction with regular dialogue and check-ins
-Collect payments from guests.
-Clear, clean, and reset each table after the guest leaves in accordance with the Gracie’s SOP
-Present and explain tasting menu items and pairings to guests
-Maintain a safe environment working and dining environment by identifying guests who have over-indulged and alerting the Shift Leader
-Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, and upholding Gracie’s Ventures cleanliness standards, and RI Health Codes
-Maintain in-depth knowledge of both culinary and beverage menus, including allergy and ingredient information
-Maintain TIPS Certification
-Participate in creative conversations for future improvements and goals in an open forum

Success in this role can be measured by the following criteria:
-Successful and memorable guest experiences
-Positive and productive attitude and professional demeanor
-Consistently demonstrating detailed knowledge of Gracie’s culinary and beverage menus
-Positive and professional communication with teammates and guests alike

Front servers at Gracie's are required to maintain a detailed working knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information. Front Servers, in particular, are also required to maintain a high level of knowledge of wines, including our by-the-glass selections, as well as pairing wines and bottles. Front servers should also have a solid understanding of what we offer on our bar menu.

Compensation:
This position is an hourly position, plus additional gratuity. Rate is based on experience, starting from $4/hr.+ Gratuity after basic training is completed at minimum wage. Our gratuity points system will be discussed during the interview process.
We are open Wed.-Sun.
