Position Overview
The FSQA Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance and food safety protocols within the organization. This role is vital in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance and food safety policies and procedures
- Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety regulations (USDA, FDA, OSHA)
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Lead the HACCP and SQF certification processes and maintain GFSI compliance
- Train and supervise quality assurance staff in industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement solutions
- Manage documentation and reporting related to food safety and quality assurance activities
- Oversee sanitation practices in the facility to ensure a clean and safe production environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GFSI standards
- Experience in meat processing and food processing environments
- HACCP Certification is required
- Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and OSHA regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Benefits
Annual Salary range: $80,000 - $130,000
Bonus Potential: 15%
