Job Description
Join Our Team as a Furniture Assembly Specialist!
Are you a white-glove wizard who turns furniture assembly into an art form? Liberty Moving and Storage isn't just about local and interstate moves-we're deeply rooted in office furniture installation project management. From stunning glass office fronts to state-of-the-art FF&E, school setups, and lab & hospital furnishings, we're involved in major projects across NYC and the tri-state area.
With our hubs in Commack, NY and Wayne, NJ, we're looking for a hands-on expert who takes pride in doing the job right-every time.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assembly & Installation: Assemble, disassemble, reconfigure, and install a wide range of office furniture-from tables and chairs to sofas, dressers, and wall units.
- Manufacturer Mastery: Work across multiple manufacturer lines (Steelcase, Herman Miller, Allsteel, etc.).
- Office Fronts: Assist with installation and repair of glass office fronts and dividers.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and help maintain accurate furniture inventory.
- Warehouse Logistics: Unload, stage, and prep furniture with care and attention to detail.
- General Service Tasks: Support basic site cleanup, trash removal, and project wrap-ups.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in furniture assembly and installation (white glove preferred).
- Tool Confidence: You should be skilled and safe with common hand and power tools.
- Physical Ability: This is a physically demanding role-expect regular lifting, bending, and standing. (Skip the gym. You won't need it.)
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail and a no-nonsense, get-it-done mentality.
- Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with warehouse staff, project managers, and installers.
- Flexibility: Standard schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm, but occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
- Bonus Points: Ability to drive a non-CDL box truck is a major plus!
What's in It for You:
- Competitive Pay: $19–$25/hour depending on experience (plus overtime pay)
- Reliable Schedule: Regular weekday shifts with opportunities for extra hours
- Supportive Team: Join a group of professionals who take pride in precision, professionalism, and progress
If you believe furniture assembly is more than just following instructions-and you've got the hustle to match the craftsmanship-then we want you on our team.
Apply now and help us bring offices, schools, and workspaces to life-one perfectly assembled piece at a time.
