Advertised Job Summary:Customer Payment Collection (40%)· Operate a point-of-sale system to collect payments for hourly parking. Issue receipts, balance cash drawers at the end of the shift, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Maintain professionalism and efficiency in high-traffic situations.Monitoring Facility for Safety and Security (30%)· Routinely observe and monitor the garage to identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues. Ensure parking regulations are followed and communicate any concerns to appropriate personnel. Remain alert and responsive throughout the shift.Assisting Students and Visitors (20%)· Provide directions, answer questions about parking rules and garage policies, and assist customers with general concerns. Offer courteous and helpful service to enhance the campus experience for all patrons.General Operational Support (10%)· Support the Garage Cashier Supervisor and Parking Services team with daily operational tasks as needed, including organizing signage, managing traffic flow, reporting equipment malfunctions, and participating in team meetings or trainings.
Two years of Cashier experience is required and one year customer service experience.
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to speak with customers in a professional manner.
Must have knowledge and experience in properly handling monetary transactions.
