Ask about our generous referral bonuses. Dates of Coverage: Starting mid-December 2025 and ongoing until a permanent physician is hired. Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient coverage. Call structure at MMC: approximately 1:4 Call schedule: Friday 4 p.m. Friday 4 p.m. Responsibilities include floor, ED, ICU, emergent consults, and endoscopies (as needed) Beeper coverage overnight Outpatient responsibilities TBD (confirmation expected soon) Reason for Coverage: Physician retirement Clinical Areas: Adult Gastroenterology, Hospital-based care, Endoscopy Onsite Support: Laboratory Yes X-Ray Yes Outpatient/Internal Medicine Requirement: None Patient Volumes: Hospital: 412 patients per day Outpatient: TBD Team Structure: 4 physicians in group EMR: EPIC Credentialing Timeline: Anticipated start mid-to-late December EUS/ERCP: Not required Required Procedures: Esophageal Dilatation / Manometry Esophageal Manometry Interpretation Small Bowel Biopsy Lower GI Endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy Liver Biopsy Upper GI Endoscopy Procedures (Required): With biopsy With foreign body removal With fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser) With injection or banding of varices Diagnostic and therapeutic With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible (Board Certified preferred) Active Massachusetts medical license (required) BLS certification (required) ERCP certification preferred but not required No outpatient expectations Allow RecruitWell to coordinate a conversation between you and the client to discuss this role in more detail.
