Brass New York

General Manager at Brass New York

Brass New York New York, New York

Job Description

BRASS and The Tusk Bar are sister venues within the historic Evelyn Hotel: a new-age NYC grand dining room and cocktail bar that celebrate the art of hospitality in all its forms. BRASS channels the glamour of old New York and the spirit of the modern brasserie; The Tusk Bar is its moody, cocktail-leaning counterpart, where the room hums with energy and the oysters and martinis come cold.

We’re seeking a General Manager to lead both spaces with precision and grace. The ideal candidate is a natural host and operator, someone who connects the dots between service and systems, and understands that great hospitality is both theater and craft, and that culture starts at the door.

You bring a proven track record of building and leading strong teams, and ideally, a loyal following of hospitality professionals who want to work alongside you.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Proven success in high-volume environments with a strong hospitality and service focus.
• Minimum 3 years of senior management experience in a major restaurant market.
• Recruiting, developing, and overseeing management teams.
• Close collaboration with culinary leadership and BOH management.
• Strong service background and track record of developing service teams.
• Oversight of high-volume beverage programs; craft cocktail and advanced wine knowledge required.
• Proficiency with labor management, daily sales reports, and financial systems.
• Accountability for operating results, with demonstrated financial acumen (P&L management, budgeting).
• Experience in project management and cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours in line with the demands of the business.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word,G-suite and related office software.

Requirements:

• Strong hospitality and service focus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager.
• Experience building progressive, profitable beverage programs and creating strong revenue centers.
• Strong understanding of P&Ls and operational financials.
• High-level communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

To be considered, please apply with a brief cover letter outlining why you’re suited to this role and what draws you to BRASS and The Tusk Bar.
