Job Description

Empowered Hospitality is on the lookout for a rockstar General Manager for one of our fantastic quick service restaurant (QSR) clients located in New York City!

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. The General Manager will be responsible for creating a positive dining experience for our guests while effectively managing the team.

JOB OVERVIEW

Duties

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to maintain high standards of food production and presentation.
  • Implement training programs focused on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication among staff.
  • Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Experience

  • Proven experience in management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry.
  • Strong background in food service management with knowledge of culinary practices.
  • Experience with quick service restaurants and fast casual restaurants establishments is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training & development.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
