Qualifications
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Planning, Public Administration or related field; or Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Planning, Public Administration or related field and four (4) additional years of related experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in GIS data manipulation and analysis.
- Three (3) years of experience using Cartegraph or similar asset management system.
Licenses or Certifications- ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates covering data editing, essential workflows, and GIS mapping.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs planning, developing and production of graphic, digital and printed materials; designs, creates and maintains, or obtain datasets for inclusion into the City's enterprise geodatabase; writes metadata to document data input and maintenance.
- Provides GIS project coordination to include project scope, data design and collection processes, data presentation methods and techniques including interactive websites to benefit the departments and the public.
- Manages the asset management system (Cartegraph) for the Public Works Department.
- Oversees user roles and permissions; hardware and software upgrades, installations and user support for the Public Works Cartegraph Asset Management System. Provides assistance in developing procedures and format design for data collection from field staff.
- Performs other related duties as required.
