Jordan Valley EMS Authority is launching a new *startup mechanic shop,* and we are seeking an experienced Michigan State Licensed Master *Heavy Diesel Mechanic *to join our team. This is a *ground-floor opportunity *with competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to grow with the operation.
*Responsibilities*
* Diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulics, and emergency vehicles.
* Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on ambulances, fire trucks, and related vehicles.
* Maintain accurate records of service and repairs.
* Work independently and as part of the team to ensure fleet readiness.
* Willingness to pursue additional certifications, including Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT).
*Qualifications*
* State Certified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (required)
* Minimum 2 years of professional mechanic experience (emergency vehicles preferred).
* Strong knowledge of diesel systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
* Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
* Ablility to adapt and thrive in a startup environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
