Heavy Haul Operations Manager - Full-Time Permanent at Convergenz

The Heavy Haul Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing transportation operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Manage, plan, and evaluate daily operations in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.Monitor transportation quality, quantity, delivery times, and costs, resolving issues promptly. Order permits, schedule deliveries and maintenance. Control overall cost. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve transportation effectiveness. Foster a customer-focused, positive work environment based on trust and respect. Maintain confidentiality regarding driver issues, rates, customers, and proprietary information. Communicate company policies and plans to co-workers, providing feedback to upper management. Assist in optimizing asset management and business utilization to minimize operational expenses. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure trucks and trailers comply with federal, state, and local laws. Provide backup support to terminal supervision and administrative staff. Supervise staff to ensure operations meet customer expectations safely and in compliance with regulations. Implement schedule and policy changes in collaboration with management. Collaborate with other managers, staff, accounting, and sales teams to implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Required Skills: 5+ years of Managerial experience Has experience with a company who moves oversized loads Preferred Skills: Heavy haul (oversized loads) experience is preferred
