Position Overview
Bayhealth is seeking a visionary and dedicated physician to serve as the Program Director for our ACGME-accredited Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the next generation of hematologists and oncologists in a dynamic academic and clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the fellowship program, ensuring compliance with ACGME standards and institutional policies
Develop and maintain a robust, evidence-based curriculum that integrates clinical excellence, research, and professional development
Mentor and evaluate fellows, fostering a culture of inquiry, compassion, and lifelong learning
Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance educational and clinical experiences
Lead recruitment and selection of fellows
Participate in clinical care, research, and scholarly activities within the Bayhealth Cancer Institute and Bayhealth Hematology-Oncology Associates
Qualifications
Board-certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-fellowship
Must have administrative experience and at least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency or hematology or medical oncology fellowship.
Demonstrated commitment to medical education and mentorship
Eligibility for medical licensure in Delaware
