PIRTEK, the nations leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose assembly and replacement, is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in the Charleston, SC area.

PIRTEK, the nations leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose assembly and replacement, is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in the Charleston, SC area.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
- Carry out service calls & customer acquisition visits in your local area
- Identify faulty hoses and/or hose assemblies to service the customers needs
- Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
- Ensure oil spills / environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customers satisfaction (as well as federal, state and local regulations)
- Input service details on a tablet to create accurate invoices
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
- Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
- Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Territory-based service areas
- Service locations may differ in terrain, noise level, temperature, common amenities available, etc.
- Oil, grease, lubricant, and other messy substances are frequently used
- You may be required to travel for training, at no cost to you
- Mechanically inclined consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
- Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
- Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screening
- Experience in industrial development & construction, automotive / marine / field mechanics or a related industry is a plus
