Hospital Medicine Physician, JH - Bayview at InsideHigherEd

General Description Overview: The Division of Hospital Medicine at Johns Hopkins at Bayview Medical Center is a group of about 50 faculty,12 APP and 6 support staff in the Department of Medicine. The division's mission draws from the larger tripartite mission of the department of medicine to include exceptional patient care, developing advance practice provider students observers through Observership programs; and finally, learners coming through pipeline programs created by the department and the school of medicine. Learners are assigned to both teaching services and direct care services. Education activity beyond learners encompass dissemination of medical knowledge and innovations in education. Key Responsibilities: Quality Improvement: Participate in divisional/departmental quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, safety and satisfaction, and systems innovations. Engage in care innovations and new care delivery models to improve overall patient care and value-based care. Research two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
