**Position Overview:**
Join our dynamic team as a host’! We are seeking a gracious, confident, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
As the host, you will be the primary liaison between our guests and the restaurant. Your role will involve ensuring seamless service from the moment guests arrive until they depart, creating an exceptional dining experience. You will need to possess strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to make every guest feel valued.
**Essential Duties:**
- Assess and respond to guests’ needs with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure all dining details and guest concerns are handled efficiently.
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure.
- Manage seating arrangements, present menus, and note guest preferences.
- Direct guests to waiting areas when needed.
- Answer phone calls and manage the reservation book to optimize seating capacity.
- Maintain an organized guest database, noting preferences and important details.
- Respond to reservation-based emails and inquiries.
- Update the website with daily menus and special events.
- Communicate dietary restrictions and allergies to the team.
- Support fellow employees and enhance restaurant operations.
- Attend employee meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Fill in for colleagues as necessary to maintain service standards.
- Share the restaurant’s unique story and offerings with guests.
- Participate in daily team meetings.
**Work Schedule:**
This role typically involves midday to evening shifts, including nights and weekends.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to reach, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
-Ability to go up and down stairs frequently
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hosting, supervisory, or management roles.
- Current Food Handlers Certification.
**Compensation:**
$20-$22 hourly+ tip pool
