Host at Genghis Cohen

Genghis Cohen has officially moved, and as we reopen our doors at our brand-new location, we’re looking for a welcoming and professional Host to be the face of our restaurant.

About the Role:
The host is the first and last point of contact for our guests—someone who sets the tone for the night with warmth, efficiency, and style. You’ll manage the flow of service, work closely with servers and managers, and ensure every guest feels taken care of from the moment they walk through the door.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a host, maître d’, or in a high-volume guest-facing role

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure

• Familiarity with reservation systems (OpenTable required, Resy a plus)

• Professional, polished, and friendly demeanor

• Availability for nights and weekends

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and wait lists smoothly

• Communicate with servers and managers to ensure seamless service

• Maintain phone line and take pickup orders as they come in

• Develop strong knowledge of the menu to answer guest questions and assist with orders

• Keep the host stand organized and efficient

• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with grace and hospitality
