Host at Niku X New York

We are seeking a polished and professional host or hostess to be our guests' first point of contact. As the face of Niku X, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using our reservation system.
• Maintain an organized and efficient seating chart to ensure smooth service flow.
• Communicate effectively with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Provide accurate wait times and accommodate guest requests when possible.
• Assist with coat check, menu presentation, and any special guest needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, fine dining, or a similar customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Experience with OpenTable or other reservation systems is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
