Position Description
The House Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating patient care services (primarily nursing services) within an assigned specialty or sub-specialty area of a clinic. Persons in this position provide supervision and coordination of service to subordinate nursing personnel and may provide various levels of direct patient care. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions.

Major/Essential Functions
- Support nursing services with aspects of patient care not limited to performing exams, procedures and documenting intervention in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Be a conduit of information. Support the goals of the unit by attending meetings and ensure information is cascaded to staff.
- Monitors documentation of patient data using Electronic Health Record to support decision-making for delivery of optimal patient care.
- Ensure that accountability and nursing standards are consistently upheld.
- Efficiency of staff scheduling.
- Engage in the disciplinary process as necessary.
- Oversee and participate in after-hours triage program.
- Develop and analyze data reports.
- Contribute to the onboarding process for new employees.
- Conducts audits as assigned by Regional Director of Nursing or Nurse Managers.
- Point of contact for utilization management and TDCJ after hours.
- Completing all duties and other tasks assigned by Regional Director of Nursing or Nurse Managers.
- Respond to emergencies.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain a Texas license.
- At least four years in nursing, with at least two of those years in a supervisory capacity.
