PositionSummary: Reporting to the HR Manager or Sr. HRManager, The Human Resources Business Partner role contributes tocompany performance by providing tactical and strategic consultingon people and organization development strategies in support ofbusiness objectives for assigned departmentsunctions. The HRBP isaligned to business units, business leaders, and/or functions toprovide HR expertise and consulting for building organizationalcapability to achieve current and future business objectivesthrough the development of proactive Human Resources strategy andpractices. The HRBP drives and influences key organizational healthand engagement initiatives with the business and provides advice,counsel and executes key initiatives. The HRBP effectively managesand resolves complex employee relations issues, resolution andinvestigations, performance management, talent/succession planning,leadership development and developing and implementing strategicand tactical initiatives that drive and support desired short andlong-term business goals andobjectives.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
• Provide HRpartnership, for both strategic and tactical initiatives, day today HR support and execution of strategies for assigned businessgroups.
• Builds and maintains effective workingrelationships with leaders and employees to provide guidance andcounsel on a variety of HR and business-related issues on bothstrategic and tactical levels
• Provides influence andguidance to client groups through developing partnerships tosupport achieving business objectives within the assigned caseloadpopulation.
• Manages and resolves employee relationsissues.
• Works closely with HR leadership to share ideas,discuss solutions and means to implement plans.
• Conductseffective, thorough and objective investigations.
•Maintains in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements related today-to-day management of employees, ensuring regulatorycompliance.
• Works closely with management and employeesto improve work relationships, build morale, and increaseproductivity and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidanceand interpretation.
• Providesconsultation/coaching/training to managers on performance, talentdevelopment, and employee relations.
• Provides day-to-daytalent and performance management guidance (coaching, mentoring,counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
•Implements HR best practices for key HR processes includingperformance management, compensation planning, workforce/capabilityplanning, and talent management.
• Accesses talentopportunities and performance gaps; oversee talent planning, talentreviews, talent development, and succession planning for assignedbusiness groups.
• Identifies training/coaching/mentoringneeds for departments, managers and employees
• Partnerswith other HR team members (L & D, Compensation, Benefits,Talent Acquisition, Payroll etc.) acting as a point of contact andliaison with supported groups to deliver robust HRservices.
• Oversees and executes implementation of HRand/or business initiative in assigned business groups.
•Participates in assigned business groups operational meetings,business reviews, and team building.
• Act as an advisoron HR issues to management of assigned business groups.
•Handle other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.HRBP role in Policies, Process, Procedures
• Maintainsknowledge of legal requirements for employers, and suggests updatesas needed, to remain compliant for policies and the EmployeeHandbook.
• Researches, develops and proposes policyupdates, new policies and/or update procedures/guidelines tosupport growing and evolving organization.
• Providestrend data to HR Manager for review and discussion
•Ensure HR team is able to provide guidance to managers andemployees on policies and how to interpret them; may train managersas needed
• Staying up to date on HR trends and bestpractices as well as employment laws and regulations
•Partners with HRBPs and broader HR team to ensure consistentapplication of practices and procedures whereappropriate
• Facilitate discussion when HRBP’s findissue; propose solutions; refine internal processes
•Maintain/enhance team effectiveness with consistent application offorms/templates, etc.…reducing repetitive practices wherepossible.
• Assisting with the screening and interviewingprocess asneeded
Experience andMinimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 yearsof broad-based HR generalist experience providing advice, counseland coaching to leaders with the ability to influence and championeffective leadership and change, developing strong businesspartnerships to support achievement of business objectives withinassigned business groups
• Bachelor’s Degree in HumanResource Administration, Business Administration, OrganizationalPsychology or related field from 4-year accredited universitystrongly preferred. Equivalent experience will beconsidered.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administrationor Human Resources preferred
• Professional certificationby the Society for Human Resources Management preferred
•Skilled with computer applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint,Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficiency with UKG HRISapplication preferred

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or relateddesignation preferred.
• Experience in direct-to-consumerbuilding, remodeling, and/or constructionindustries.
Occasional overnight travelrequired.
