PositionDescription

The Human Resources Business Partner isresponsible for providing effective and efficient Human Resourcemanagement at their production location. The job holder supportsthe plant leadership team to recruit, retain, develop and motivatehigh quality employees to enable the plant to achieveorganizational objectives. This position reports to the RegionalDirector of HR.

Essential JobFunctions:

  • Daily management ofall HR related issues at the productionlocation.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of and adherence toall HR policies and procedures as well as external influences suchas employment State/Provincial legislation and politicalinference.
  • Provides a progressive, best practice service to allManagers at the production location covering areas such as, but notlimited to recruitment and selection, employee onboarding,performance management, training and development, organizationalchange, communication programs, industrial relations and workforceplanning.
  • Develops and implements consistent framework ofemployment standards which ensure competitiveness in thecommunities in which we operate and which position Refresco as anemployer of choice.
  • Establishment of departmentalperformance standards and objectives ensuring the monitoring anddelivery of these.
  • Source and develop external partnershipswith vendors such as recruitment agencies and maximize the qualityof service and return on investment.
  • Establishment ofdepartmental performance standards and objectives ensuring thatthese support the overall business plan.
  • Work with andnetworks with HR colleagues across all locations to ensure sharingof best practices.
  • Actively involved in activities in thelocal communities that will build the Refresco employerbrand.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to ensureeffective hiring and onboarding of hourly and salaried employees attheir location.
  • Manage the plants payroll functions andensure timely and complete delivery of all necessary payrollrelated files to the central payroll team.
  • Delivers direction tothe Human Resources admin and ensures HR administrative tasks getexecuted in a timely and complete manor.
  • Trains supervisorsand managers on the Manager Self Service features in our Payrolland Time & Attendance system.
  • Act as a first pointof contact for all benefits related questions at the location,actively supports employees during open enrollment and ensures allbenefits related information is being entered into the system in atimely and complete manner.
  • Encourage a safeworking environment by actively participating in safety relatedactivities and by facilitating and or participating in safetycommittee meetings at the location.
  • Ensures a timely andcomplete delivery of Human Resources data and metrics for eitherstandardized reports or ad hoc informationrequests.

RequiredSkills:

  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint andHRIS.

  • Demonstratedprofessional success payroll administration, recruitment andemployee relations.
  • Ability to speak effectively interactwith all levels of management.
  • Ability to managemultiple assignments and coordinate activities to meet specificdeadlines.
  • Ability to interpret the company’s policies andprocedures to management and hourlyemployees.

Education andExperience:

  • Bachelor’s degree inbusiness, Human Resources or related field (or equivalent relatedexperience).
  • Five (5) years of management experiencein Human Resources with prior experience in staffing and employeerelations.
  • Experience with Washington State Labor Lawrequired. 
  • Previous manufacturing HR experiencepreferred.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitiveinformation.
  • Experience conducting first-line andmanagement training.
  • Experience with applicant trackingsystems and HRIS applications.
  • Knowledgeable inMicrosoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Outlook.

WorkingConditions:

  • Physical Demands –Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job isadministrative in nature.
  • Visual/Sensory – Thisposition requires attention to detail, requiring attention with oneor two senses at a time.
  • Work environment – Work and environmentfasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused underpressure.
  • Mental Stress – There is pronounced pressure fromdeadlines, project management, accuracy or similardemands.

Pay Range:$99k - $110k, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses basedon company objectives.
