About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will play a key part in managing the day-to-day HR operations, with a heavy emphasis on benefits administration, payroll processing, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and enjoys ensuring that employees are supported with accurate and timely HR services. The selected candidate will work on-site at our corporate office in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

 

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries (health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), etc.).
  • Review benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS and carrier systems.
  • Partner with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure timely billing and reconciliation.

Payroll Administration

  • Review timesheets, leave records, and compensation changes for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, deductions, and tax regulations.
  • Maintain auditable records.
  • Support year-end processes including W-2 and 1095-C distribution.

HR Operations & Support

  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Support HR compliance, reporting, and policy administration.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on engagement initiatives, performance management, and training coordination.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience with strong exposure to benefits and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (Experience with ADP or Costpoint a plus).
  • Government Contracting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, ACA, FMLA, and COBRA compliance.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or FPC/CPP (Fundamental or Certified Payroll Professional) a plus.
