The HRGeneralist is responsible for coordinating the daily functions ofthe Human Resources Team.

What you'll doas an HRGeneralist:
- Assist andobserve in various training programs in order to comply with McLaneCompany training practices and federallaws.
- Facilitate mandatory harassment/substanceabuse training, safety, and arrange special classes forteammates.
- Maintain logo clothing, relocationbilling, FMLA records, Workers Compensation and safetyinvestigations, documentation, reporting and evacuationplans.
- Coordinate special events such as: CMN,United Way, Health Fair, teammate parties,etc.
- Support for HR Manager asneeded.
- Ensure that the McLane Companyemployment process is carried out within legal guidelines and thateach applicant is treated fairly andconsistently.
- Manage requisitions and developappropriate recruitment strategies with managers (i.e.:advertisements, internet).
- Coordinate andattend career fairs, receive, review, and screen applications andresumes, communicate application status to applicants, checkreferences and verify previousemployment.
- Advise supervisors on hiring/offerprocedures, arrange pre-employment paperwork and orientation, andmaintain Jobs Box.
- Promote teammate moralethrough open lines of communication and policyinterpretation.
- Coordinate teammate meetingsassist in facilitation of New Hire Orientation, and interact dailywith teammates and managers.
- Other duties maybe assigned.
Qualifications you'llbring as an HRGeneralist:
- Have abachelor's degree.
- Have 2+ years experience inHuman Resources.
- Possess hands on experience intraining and coaching.
- Understand safetypractice guidelines.
- Have strong MS Officeskills including Word and Excel. PowerPoint will be useful;Peoplesoft experience preferred.
- Be able toidentify and work through problems and conflicting issues in aclear and diplomatic manner.
- Be able to reviewand interpret data, transactions, policies, and businesspractices.
- Be an effective communicator(verbally and written) with teammates at alllevels.
- Be able to work in diverse and fastpaced environment.
- This position requires theability to read, write, and understand English at a levelsufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols,and communications essential to the role. The requirement isdirectly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliancewith workplace safety and operationalstandards.
