Position Summary: The HRISSpecialist (Human Resources Information System Specialist) isresponsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s HRISsoftware (UKG) and supporting the HR team with data management,reporting, and system troubleshooting. The HRIS Specialist acts asa liaison between HR and business functions, ensuring smoothintegration and functionality of the HRIS, as well as helping todrive HR process automation and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintainthe HRIS system (UKG) to ensure the accuracy andtimeliness of employee data.
  • Perform regularupdates to employee records, ensuring that all changes are made incompliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Configure and customize HRIS system modules toalign with organizational needs and HR initiatives.
  • Develop and run regular reports on various HRmetrics, such as headcount, turnover, benefits participation, andcompliance.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis andreports to support decision-making within the HR department andmanagement.
  • Ensure data integrity by auditingHRIS data for accuracy andconsistency.
  • Troubleshoot system issues toresolve technical problems and ensure minimal disruption to HRprocesses.
  • Monitor system performance andrecommend enhancements to improve usability, functionality, andefficiency.
  • Support HRIS upgrades and systemintegration projects as required.
  • Providetraining and support to HR team members and employees on the properuse of the HRIS system, ensuring they understand its features andfunctionalities.
  • Serve as the first point ofcontact for HRIS-related questions and issues within the HRdepartment.
  • Identify opportunities to automateHR processes through system functionality and work with the HR teamto implement these improvements.
  • Assist in thedevelopment and documentation of HRIS-related workflows andprocedures.
  • Lead or assist with HRIS-relatedprojects such as system migrations, upgrades, or new moduleimplementations.
  • Ensure projects are deliveredon time and within scope, coordinating with relevant stakeholdersto meet project objectives.
  • Performs otherduties as assigned bysupervisor. 

Experience and MinimumQualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,Information Technology, Business Administration, or a relatedfield. 
  • 3+ years of experience workingwith HRIS systems, preferably in an HRIS Specialist, HR Analyst, orHRIS Administrator role.
  • Experience with dataanalysis, reporting, and HR process automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables,VLOOKUP, advanced formulas), and other data management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degreeof accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasksand meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold oneself accountable and responsible whilebeing self-driven in accomplishing goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills at all levels to communicate with internal and externalstakeholders articulately.
  • Ability to workcollaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinizeand evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work,and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to providetimely and empathetic service through all communication channelskeeping peer and customer needs first.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in thecountry of employment without sponsorship for employment visastatus (e.g., H1B status). 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, orCertifications:

  • Experience with HRIS system implementationsand/or upgrades.
  • Familiarity with employeelifecycle management processes (recruitment, onboarding,performance management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HRpolicies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HR-related compliance andlegal requirements.
  • HR certifications (e.g.,SHRM-CP, HRIP) or technical certifications related to HRIS systems.
  • Experience withUKG. 

TravelRequirements:

  • Notravel required. 

Overtime/Additional HoursRequirements:

  • Additional hours may be required (exemptpositions).  

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlledenvironment. 
  • Sedentary work. Exerting upto 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount offorce frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, orotherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary workinvolves sitting most of thetime.
