    Position Summary:

    Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a HR Administrator to support our Human Resources team at the corporate level. This position is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about employee experience. You'll serve as the operational anchor of HR-managing sensitive records, benefit coordination, and data systems with professionalism and discretion.

    JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Maintain and audit all employee personnel files in compliance with policy and federal regulations
    • Manage HRIS data entry, employee records, badge access, and HR reporting
    • Answer employee questions regarding general HR and benefit topics
    • Assist in benefits administration and invoice reconciliation (dental, vision, legal, pet, etc.)
    • Coordinate I-9 documentation, E-Verify processing, and labor posting compliance
    • Support onboarding (Immersion), including ID photos and orientation materials
    • Create flyers for corporate events and assist with organizing internal functions
    • Update HR SharePoint site and wellness program resources
    • Order and track employee awards, bereavement acknowledgments, and related items
    • Provide back up support for HR projects, FMLA tracking, and event logistics
    • Create exit packages and support offboarding logistics
    • Assist with all Company Events hosted at the corporate office

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Minimum 3 years of HR administrative or coordinator experience
    • Familiarity with HRIS systems, benefits platforms, and compliance procedures
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
    • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
    • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus

    Compensation & Benefits:

    This full-time, non-exempt position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. In your first year, you will receive 10 paid vacation days, 8 paid personal days, 8 paid scheduled holidays and 3 paid floating holidays (Residents of California and Puerto Rico will receive state-mandated sick leave instead of personal days). After one year of employment, you will also be eligible for a generous short-term disability program with the company covering 100% of monthly premiums.

    The starting salary range for this role is $51,000 to $54,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. As a non-exempt position, you will be eligible for overtime and double time pay, as outlined in our employee handbook. Additional variable compensation may include a discretionary year-end bonus based on overall company performance.
