Human Resources Assistant
Department:Human Resources
Work Location:Main Campus
Duties:Under minimal supervision, the Human Resources Assistant (Administrative Classified) performs varied general office and administrative duties. The Human Resources Assistant maintains a close and highly responsive relationship of the day-to-day work activities of the managers. The HR Assistant works independently with minimal supervision using a considerable amount of judgment to make responsible decisions. The HR Assistant completes tasks in a timely manner, and effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.
Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or high school equivalency required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources, related experience as an administrative assistant, or experience in a customer service environment required

- Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment and initiative, and handle multiple tasks; ability to work as a team with flexibility and independently as needed
 - Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with a variety of individuals
 - Ability to handle confidential material with discretion and maintain confidence
 - Proficient data entry and keyboarding ability utilizing MS Office and other software
 - Strong attention to detail
 - Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
 - Proficiency with computers and ability to use multiple software applications
 - Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and computational skills
 - HR-related skills/knowledge preferred
 - Bilingual skills helpful
 
Software and skills proficiency testing for the specific position will be required upon hire and must be successfully completed within the probationary period if this testing has not been previously completed as a condition of employment.
