Position Summary

The Electrical Foreman will lead and supervise the electrical crew on industrial and civil construction projects under the direction of the Project Manager or Superintendent. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning in compliance with the NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and QPS standards. The Foreman serves as the field leader for the electrical trade, coordinating manpower, materials, safety, and productivity while maintaining strong communication with site leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise the work of electricians, apprentices, and helpers on site.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, and blueprints to ensure installations meet design and code requirements.
  • Monitor work in progress and upon completion for quality, safety, and code compliance.
  • Coordinate with project management, other trade foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedule and resolve field issues.
  • Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and manpower are in place to meet project needs; manage material requests and deliveries.
  • Track labor hours, crew assignments, and production records; report progress and costs to project management.
  • Enforce safe work practices, lead daily safety meetings, and ensure compliance with all QPS and OSHA requirements.
  • Mentor and train crew members, providing direction and feedback to support development and productivity.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with installations as needed for critical or complex tasks.
  • Communicate daily with site leadership on project status, issues, and corrective actions.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification in the State of Florida preferred.
  • At least 5 years of electrical field experience, including previous supervisory or foreman responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, motors, and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a construction environment, including outdoor and elevated conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or civil construction environments.
  • Familiarity with local inspection and permitting processes in Florida.
  • Experience with labor tracking, cost control, and material management.
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and First Aid/CPR certifications.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises electricians, apprentices, and subcontractor electrical crews as assigned.


Working Conditions

  • Construction site environment with exposure to weather, dust, noise, and equipment.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
  • Travel to project sites throughout Central Florida.
  • May perform hands-on electrical work when needed.
