Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill an Industrial Electrician position at a Manufacturing company in Gaylord, MI. This is a direct-hire position. Apply Now!
Duties for this position include:
- Installs electrical components, equipment, or systems using blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Troubleshoots an electrical panel
- Connects power supply wires to equipment, connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints
- Maintains equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests
- Calibrates equipment to specifications
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
- Tests faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems
- Sets up and tests industrial equipment to ensure it functions properly
- Inspects components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation, and inspects for defects such as loose Knows connections or frayed wires
- References electrical drawings to resolve issues
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems
- Testing of high voltage protocol
- Uses computer software to program, draw, modify, and store schematics
- Troubleshoots a PLC with a laptop to resolve issues
Compensation (USD):
$80,080.00/year
Plus shift differential
Schedule:
3rd Shift
OT when needed
All candidates must have an expert level of the following skillset:
- Ability to interact with production cells
- Able to complete duties under tight deadlines and while attending to multiple duties simultaneously
- Ability to solve problems when material shortage issues occur
- Able to lift 50 pounds (with team lift)
- Must have basic working knowledge of computers (data input and retrieval)
- Proficient in basic math skills
- Ability to write legibly and maintain records
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Journeyman certificate or 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Must have working knowledge of Allen-Bradley Controls Schemes
