Industrial Electromechanical Systems Technician at Novolex Corporate
Job Description
Job Description
Location: Alsip, IL
A day in the roleWhen your shift begins, you gear up with PPE and step onto the floor ready to keep production moving. You scan equipment status, listen for radio calls, and jump into action—diagnosing electrical issues, tracing root causes, and solving problems before they can slow us down. You move confidently between control panels and machinery: reading ladder logic on Allen-Bradley PLCs, tuning VFDs, and working with 24VDC and 120VAC control wiring. Whether it’s rebuilding a drive motor, repairing an air valve, or swapping a transformer, you execute precise, safe work that maintains product quality and uptime.
Throughout the day, you stay ahead of potential failures by monitoring plant assets and facilities, performing upgrades and modifications, and documenting everything you complete. You collaborate with production to hit targets, respond quickly to emergencies to minimize downtime, and uphold GMP and safety standards—steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and hair/beard nets when required.
