Quality “Plus” Services is seeking an experienced and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team supporting industrial and construction projects in Auburndale, Florida, and the surrounding Central Florida region. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and process environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, control panels, and power distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems, including motor controls, PLCs, and VFDs, using proper testing equipment and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to ensure installations meet design specifications and code compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, equipment, and distribution systems to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and helpers to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality work practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, maintenance teams, and engineering staff to support overall plant operations and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and installations.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Journeyman Electrician License (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
• 3–5+ years of industrial electrical experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
• Strong working knowledge of motor controls, high-voltage systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments, including heat, humidity, or inclement weather.
• Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, or weekends as project demands require.

Compensation:

• Journeyman Electricians: $30-$36 per hour, depending on experience.
• Apprentices and Helpers: $16–$24 per hour, depending on skill level and experience.
