Physiatrist/Amputee Medical Director Role Overview: The Physiatrist/Amputee Medical Director provides administrative, programmatic, and clinical leadership to ensure the achievement of clinical, research, and educational goals in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a special focus on amputee care. Reporting to the Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service, the Medical Director serves as a key clinical leader within the medical center. Clinical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation and amputee care services, including outpatient and inpatient care. Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the rehabilitation team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Veteran-Centered Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care with an emphasis on functional improvement, health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and the management of complex physical disabilities.
