Benedict Miller supplies the world with 4130 and 4340 Aircraft Quality Steel in sheet, plate and bar. As a member of the sales team, primary responsibilities will be to coordinate sales efforts, quoting, following up quotes, order cross-checking for accuracy and general customer service activities. Secondary responsibilities will include purchasing activities including quoting mills, placing mill orders, supporting QC and designing excel spreadsheet reports from database to support sales / purchasing.
Success will be measured by company objectives including: Sales Growth, Maximum Inventory Goals, Customer On-Time Delivery, Gross Profit Results, and Vendor Performance for example.

Responsibilities
- Enter and confirm Customer Orders
 - Enter and confirm Vendor Orders
 - Routing of Sales Orders and incoming Purchase Orders
 - Update Excel Programs to coordinate supplier lead times with customer forecasts
 - Maintain Inventory collaborating with colleagues
 - Update system with changing schedules (customers and vendors), communicate with customers and vendors to ensure best solutions are achieved.
 -  Coordinate shipments and material cost criteria consistent with customer and vendor guidelines
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and spot-buy customers to meet Gross Profit targets
 - Negotiate deliveries with vendors and customers to meet on time delivery targets
 
 -  Maintain Order Files
Coordinate cycle counts and inventory system maintenance -  Enter Vendor Claims
Answer Telephones / E-mails 
Qualifications- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelors degree preferred
 - Previous experience in inside sales
 - Should have experience in steel industry/manufacturing industry
 - Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills
 - A positive attitude and ability to be persistent
