Inside Sales Representative


American Wire Group (AWG), is a leading supplier of insulated and bare wire/cable products, electrical hardware, equipment, and services for infrastructure applications. AWG specializes in renewable energy (wind and solar) as well as electric utility transmission, distribution, and substation products. Wedesign, manufacture, and market exclusively branded products along with the industrys best service and availability of inventory to deliver innovative solutions to the marketplace.


AWG needs an organized, analytical, and detail oriented Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will drive sales by paying attention to customer quotes, bids, and relationships. The ISA will thrive in this sales cycle environment and will contributes significantly to customer acquisition and revenue growth.


The ISR will support the sales team by preparing customer quotations and bid documents, processing customer requests, answering and directing customer questions and technical support, and responding to customer inquiries. This will also include assisting Project Managers with maintenance and updates to project schedules. The ISA will solidify existing and incoming relationships by the outstanding quality of the work performed on behalf of our customer base. Core Responsibilities:


The ISR will:


  • Perform a range of administrative functions within the sales team; pay attention to details and ensure that all team activity is organized and complete.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer quotations and bid proposals.
  • Assist with close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Assist with
    maintain and grow existing business; exceed sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
  • Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with vendors and customers; encourage trust and loyalty.
  • Occasionally, Cold Call and emails to prospective and current customers
  • Take pride in delivering excellent customer service including order status, quote follow up, inventory checks, etc
  • Obtain and report all competitive information/pricing
  • Assist senior leaders with additional tasks and projects as they arise
  • Support the project team with data entry and extraction.
  • Support the sales team with the processing of customer documents (quotes, purchase orders etc.).
  • Support sales team with processing of vendor documents
  • Retrieve information from records, email, minutes, and other related documentation; prepare written summaries of data when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned



    Qualifications:


    • Degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain or related field preferred.
    • Effective communicator with excellent negotiation, customer service and relationship skills.
    • Prior customer service experience preferred.
    • Goal and detail oriented; ability to achieve targets.
    • Superior organization, coordination, and time management skills
    • Able to work closely Sales Managers and Team members.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; good judgment
    • Computer-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Experienced at using EXCEL to develop data reports and quotations (Formulas, VLOOK UP, Pivot Table).
    • Bi-Lingual/bi-Literate Spanish skills, a plus
