About CEG:

Consolidated Equipment Group (CEG) is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of skid-steer attachments, mini-skid steer attachments, tractor implements, high-capacity grapples, augers/auger drive heads, and several other attachments for construction equipment. Their mission is to build equipment for those who will not compromise.

CEG offers over 140 products under the brands, Erskine, Quick Attach, Dirt Dog, Pro Dig, and Agile (GrabTec & Miller). The company has approximately 300 employees with manufacturing facilities in Fosston, MN, Commerce, GA, St. Joseph, MO, and Sioux Falls, SD. The Erskine division has been in business since 1948. The corporate office is in Alexandria, MN.

Job Summary

A successful Inside Sales Specialist collaborates with the Sales Managers, Team Leads, and Product Specialists, to make them more efficient and drive additional sales. This role will conduct important inside sales work, such as, new order entry, data clean-up in Salesforce, and supporting MKT promotions. This position will also support the sales organization by following up on items such as, delivery dates, parts delivery questions, and other customer inquiries. This role will be fully trained on products, understanding the features, advantages, and benefits. The Inside Sales Specialist will also be trained in Salesforce best practices, ensuring that their activities are logged correctly. The Inside Sales Specialist role drives value by empowering our strategic sales team members to focus more on selling. This role will also be “bench strength” for future sales opportunities withing CEG.

Job Description

Sales process & excellence

  • Maintains product knowledge and pricing for all products and assists other team members with questions regarding such information.
  • Has complete knowledge of all sales, marketing, and service material.

Sales process & excellence continued

  • Understands the sales targets and supports these initiatives by helping the sales team with follow up items they need completed (such as order entry, customer inquiries on delivery dates, financial approvals, and data entry clean up).
  • Accounts for actions taken by using Salesforce to log activities.
  • Supports sales team with open quote follow-ups they need support with.
  • Outlines some proactive sales work to support the team, such as contacting old dealers, or new national rental branches.
  • Supports the team with updating important customer information and data clean up in Salesforce.
  • Maintains an exceptional brand standard while following the company mission.
  • Actively seeks and participates in a variety of sales and professional development mediums to include corporate sales meetings, video training, as well as other sources.
  • Develops a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends.
  • Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Leverages company provided tools, like Salesforce and Smartsheets, to assist or complete the documentation, tracking, follow up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.

Sales Support

  • Answers questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms.
  • Communicate and support inquiries on delivery dates and lead times.
  • Support sales team with new product launches and follow-up.
  • Stays current with all marketing and financing promotions that can support the team.

Pioneering new business

  • Leverage company database to conduct research on new opportunities for products.
  • Collaborate with marketing on promotions to engage new partnerships.
  • Support the sales team with obtaining proper financial information needed by the accounting/finance departments to set up new dealers.

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for handling other sales team members’ customers with professionalism.
  • Attending trade shows as requested by management.
  • Create reports and support data management requests as instructed by manager.
  • Ensure professionalism is always at the highest level, reflecting positively of CEG.
  • Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and ISO 9001:2015.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A four-year university degree is required; marketing/sales business degree is preferred.
  • 2-3 years prior selling experience preferred.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and using a computer – Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player that uses collaboration.
  • Integrity that is above reproach.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
