We are working with an international firm seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with at least three years of experience to join their growing team in New York City. The team provides advice to global Insurers and their insureds across a wide spectrum of classes of insurance but with a particular focus on complex coverage issues and reinsurance matters. The firm offers the flexibility to work primarily remote (1-5 days per month in office).
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing insurance policies across a variety of lines to interpret policy language and identify potential coverage issues.
 - Conducting thorough legal research on relevant laws and regulations and providing advice on the application of insurance policy terms.
 - Advising clients on risk management and compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
 - Drafting coverage opinions, position letters, and related analyses.
 - Representing insurers in coverage and declaratory judgment litigation in state and federal courts is a plus but not required. Position focus is coverage advice.
 - Keeping abreast of changes in insurance laws, regulations, and case precedents that may affect insurance policies and claims.
 - Conducting legal research and preparing high-quality written work product.
 - Engaging directly with clients and contributing to strategy development.
 
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
 - Minimum of three years of experience in insurance coverage.
 - Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
 - Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 - Exceptional client service and communication skills.
