Insurance Coverage Attorney
Base Salary: $136,000 - $180,000
Billable Hour Requirement: 1,750
Location: Seattle, WA (In-Office)
Are you an experienced insurance coverage attorney looking to take a strategic role in complex litigation matters while working in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment?
A prominent Seattle firm is seeking a highly motivated Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3 to 7 years of experience to join a well-established and respected legal team. This is a full-time, in-office position offering the opportunity to work directly with partners, take ownership of challenging cases, and grow professionally in a supportive setting.
What You'll Do
- Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions for insurer clients.
- Represent insurers in coverage litigation, including declaratory judgment actions and contribution disputes.
- Defend insurers against bad faith, breach of contract, and extra-contractual liability claims.
- Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in mediations and court hearings.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic legal guidance.
- Manage multiple files independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff.

- 3-7 years of insurance coverage experience, ideally representing carriers.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a desire to lead and grow.
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
- Washington State Bar membership (required).
