Position: Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney
Location: New York, NY
Type: Full-Time, Hybrid scheduling - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Experience Level: 2–5 Years
Salary Range: $130,000 – $170,000


Overview:
A nationally recognized, full-service business law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its growing New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented litigator to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse litigation caseload, including general liability, premises liability, commercial disputes, construction defect, insurance defense, and civil matters.

  • Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery and depositions of parties and expert witnesses.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality legal service delivery.

  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in New York (New Jersey bar admission is a plus).

  • 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably across a broad range of matters.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and colleagues.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $130,000 – $170,000
