Design Engineering Interns: This is where you come in
Our Design Engineering Department takes concepts and ideas from our project teams and turns them into real, buildable mechanical systems. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at Commercial HVAC and Plumbing design, learning how we turn engineering intent into drawings, selections, calculations, and coordinated systems that actually work in the field.
Top 3 things to deliver in your first year to be a hero:
- Learn as much as you can about HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contracting.
- Help your team. Work on engineering drawings, run calculations, review submittals, draft load calculations, and help come up with possible design solutions.
- Have a great time and explore if a future with MMFS is right for you, or if design engineering is your path.
Interns report to our Senior Mechanical Engineers on a collaborative team working on a variety of design projects and initiatives that support our growing business.
Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?
You should have...
- An interest in mechanical systems, HVAC design, plumbing design, or engineering
- A natural love of problem-solving and learning new things
- An in-progress or completed bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field

Compensation: You will be paid $24/hr for the duration of your internship.

Our Seattle HQ office (17930 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188) has easy access to the SeaTac International Airport, ample secured parking, and newly renovated office facilities - not to mention great views!
