Internal Audit Manager - SOX
Location: Calabasas, CA - onsite HYBRID 3x a week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager specializing in SOX compliance to lead our audit initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure effective internal controls and risk management processes are in place, and will drive continuous improvement within our auditing practices.
This position will not have any direct reports and you will be on a smaller team - less than 10.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SOX compliance audits and testing processes.
- Develop and implement audit plans to assess internal controls and risk areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance internal control frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
- Utilize AuditBoard for SOX automation and reporting.
- Analyze data using Power BI and Tableau to provide insights into audit findings.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit committee.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a must.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience in auditing at a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
- Familiarity with AuditBoard or similar SOX automation platforms.
- Proficient in data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.
