Internal Medicine physician employment in California : Locums Internal Medicine PhysicianLocation: San Mateo, California (Northern California South of the Bay Area)Setting: Geriatric Outpatient Clinic (FQHC Federally Qualified Health Center)Start Date: Late December / Early JanuaryContract Length: 3 months (with option to extend) Schedule Days: 45 days per week Hours: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM No Call / No Weekends Patient Details Volume: ~14 patients per day Population: 100% Medicare/Medicaid high need, high complexity Age Range: Exclusively patients aged 60+ (many in 80s/90s) Language Diversity: Multilingual population bilingual Spanish strongly preferred Support Staff: Strong RN and clinician support Job Expectations Continuity geriatric care (not a teaching setting) Must be comfortable with complex public health/FQHC populations Procedures: Pap smears, basic STD diagnosis Requirements Board Certification: Internal Medicine Required Geriatric Board Preferred but not required Family Medicine Accepted for the right candidate Board Eligible Case-by-case; must be current in practice Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience Geriatric-focused care experience strongly preferred Licenses/Certifications: Active California Medical License Required DEA Required BLS Required EMR: Epic must be proficient with fast charting Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
