Inventory Lead – Gainesville, GA
Our client, a subsidiary of an international industry leader, has been in business for more than 50 years providing state-of-the-art processing equipment for our partners in the food industry. They are an OEM specializing in providing total line solutions—from consultation through system design, manufacturing, and integration. Their cutting-edge technology focuses on turnkey systems for high-capacity further processing lines.
Job Summary:
- To plan, direct and carry out inventory activities with the goal of meeting all sales delivery dates for customer orders, while maintaining manufactured product levels as well as coordinating with purchasing agent.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate, and plan for stocking levels, material issues out of inventory, inventory control measures, and organization methods pertaining to inventory activities.
- Coordinate all inventory reorder requirements with Purchasing Agent.
- Review inventory levels and sales orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Manage inventory costs including overseeing and approving correct time and material allocation on manufacturing receipts.
- Approve all Inventory personnel timecards for payroll.
- Manage and schedule all Inventory Clerks, Material Handlers and Delivery Drivers.
- Review operations and confer with shop manager, scheduling or administrative staff to resolve inventory problems including attending daily production meetings.
- Develop and implement inventory tracking and control systems to detect inventory problems by analyzing product turnover, lead times, delivery methods, maintenance, and other operational reports.
- Prepare, maintain and analyze inventory reports.
- Direct, coordinate and plan all shipping activities to customers including ground shipments, freight line, courier, and company deliveries.
- Direct, coordinate, and plan RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes including receipts, transferring to jobs, and returning to customers.
- Manage receipt of all incoming material, such as UPS, raw material, etc. and assist with packaging and storing of received goods.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
- Strong knowledge of/experience with logistics
- Experience with international freight
- Must work well in a diverse and fast-paced environment while interacting with all levels of staff with a high degree of professionalism and positive demeanor.
- Demonstrates the initiative and ability to work independently.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and complete tasks quickly and accurately by the deadline.

- Be committed, professional and able to maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience including inventory control practices and procedures.
- Forklift skills.
- RF scan gun experience
- Ability to work extended hours and rotating on-call evenings.
- The ability to reliably commute to, or planning to relocate to, the Gainesville area before starting work.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Gainesville, GA.
