Talent Consultants is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled IP Trademark Attorney to join our esteemed intellectual property practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of trademark law, including prosecution, litigation, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of trademark law, a commitment to protecting clients' intellectual property rights, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients on their branding strategies. You will work closely with clients across diverse sectors to ensure their brands are effectively protected and represented. Responsibilities
  • Manage trademark registration processes, including searching, filing applications, and responding to office actions.
  • Conduct thorough trademark searches and provide strategic advice on the registrability of marks.
  • Advise clients on trademark portfolio management and brand protection strategies.
  • Represent clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
  • Assist with enforcing trademark rights and resolving disputes, including cease and desist letters and litigation support.
  • Stay current on developments in trademark law and changes in regulations.
  • Provide training and presentations to clients on trademark matters and best practices for brand protection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various legal and business issues related to intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in trademark law, including prosecution and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of trademark law and intellectual property regulations.
  • Experience with trademark searches, applications, and enforcement actions.
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with international trademark issues is a plus.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations is preferred.
