The Iridium Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Iridium teams shaping the future of satellite communications. As an Intern, you'll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Iridium Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Iridium department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns via regular engagement activities. Interns will participate in an end of internship presentation, where we ask them to develop an innovative idea that addresses opportunities in the company.
What We're Looking For:
As a Digital Media & Communications intern, you will collaborate with the marketing team on scripting, creative writing, short video editing, b-roll selection, advertising design and social media content creation. Your contribution will help create, deploy, expand, and maintain Iridium's brand awareness and ongoing public relations and marketing efforts., In the process you will develop new skills, enhance existing skills, and contribute to a fun team working in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for a creative team-player and hands-on learner who's ready to dive right in and start generating exciting new content!
What You'll Do:
- Assist in developing short video scripts including both speaker content and accompanying b-roll/supporting assets
- Assist in creating public-facing marketing communications including email campaigns, social media content, event/virtual event invitations, etc.
- Help identify and develop explanatory content for highly-valuable industry trends, applications and technologies for the Iridium blog
- Assist with researching new publications for advertisements, webinars, and industry reporters for new PR opportunities

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Familiarity with MailChimp, Constant Contact, or comparable e-mail marketing program
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Creative self-starter
- Confident in sharing ideas and participating in conversations with leaders
Things You Must Bring to the Table:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution in Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
- This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of Iridium's U.S. government contracts, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens
- This position follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
