Journeyman Electrician – Job Description

We are seeking experienced and dependable Journeyman Electricians to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic job site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings according to blueprints, codes, and safety standards.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and construction documents.
• Perform wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional work on multiple job sites.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial construction.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license required.
• OSHA 10 certification required; willingness to obtain additional safety credentials (First Aid, CPR, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a drug test.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
