Journeyman Electrician – Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dependable Journeyman Electricians to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic job site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings according to blueprints, codes, and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and construction documents.
- Perform wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional work on multiple job sites.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial construction.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license required.
- OSHA 10 certification required; willingness to obtain additional safety credentials (First Aid, CPR, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a drug test.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
